The Smart Connection Enterprise product is based on Adobe InDesign technology so I’m looking forward to working with former Adobe colleagues in addressing some long-standing Japanese publishing industry challenges.

It’s a refreshing change to be working with the energetic team at WoodWing, and it’s particularly nice being on essentially the same time zone with the Kuala Lumpur regional office.

Rode along northwestern side of Akigawa to Seotonoyu, carrying bikes across the pedestrian bridge and up the steps  on the north end of the onsen.

On the way back a local resident gave us yuzu and persimmons from his yard. I had a front flat and as it got dark, Ruth became chilled so we grabbed a sports newspaper from a recycling bundle for her to put under her jersey for a little insulation. She suffered quite a bit from the unaccustomed length of the ride and the darkeness of the bike trail.

Rode back to Wakatsuki via Kadoman Bakery.

If rained out it will be attempted again next Saturday. The forecast indicates 50% chance of rain before 6:00, clear weather the rest of the day.

This is a spontaneous gathering–there is no official organizer. The prospect of finding rare parts has been known to draw foreign collectors who fly to Japan just for this event.

This will be my first time and I’ll be taking Elsa’s 24″ Felt kid’s road bike to try and sell along with some other parts. It starts quite early, around 6:00 AM, and ends around noon.

I continued to pass above つるつる温泉. Made it up without stopping, leg strength improving. Picked up new light for Ruth’s bike and pump part on the way home. Felt slow and fatigued the last third of the ride.
